Hi, my name is Darrell Maloney, and I am a 3D concept designer, graphic artist, and prop maker working in the film industry. I started working in the film industry in 2020, when I was offered to work as a specialty 3D modeler for Ms. Marvel. After Ms. Marvel, I started to work closely with Marvel's property master and was very fortunate enough to work on multiple titles such as Falcon: Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy V3, and Spiderman: No Way Home.

As a 3D designer, my job is to take the idea and vision of the director, production designer, or prop master and turn them into an item that is visually pleasing, camera-ready, and functional. My skills and abilities cover a wide range of disciplines and themes, from costumes, helmets, and vehicles to jewelry, weapons, and beyond. I currently use Cinema 4D, Z-Brush, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) to complete my work accurately and in a timely manner, as I understand production turnaround times.

I also have extensive experience with 3D printing, as I own a wide range of printers that I often use to print parts that are used in production. In addition, I also have experience with and an understanding of post-processing parts, mold making, and painting, and I combine these experiences when designing a part so that it can be processed quickly for production. My work is my passion, and I feel fortunate every day to work in a field that I absolutely love.
